Making of Sura Fish Puttu

 Its a long time that i made a dish in my home. Started the day with no more plan. Decided to try something, and sura fish strike immediately since i was thinking to do sura puttu several time before but missed. Went to fish market with dad and got 1kg of PAL SURA fish. Opened you tube and saw a video of how to make it and then started preparing. Its a simple and easy dish that can be prepared with very less oil compared to the indian fish fry recipes. Decided to take snap of everything on making. Mummy too supported on taking pic :)


First got ready with all ingredients. Here goes the list

Next took fish and cut into small pieces and boiled in water with turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and salt for 10 mins.





After that, take out the fish, filter water and remove outer cover and bones. Sura speciality is you dont need to worry about fish bones, only one will be at centre, thats it. Thts why this fish is special to make puttu easier.

Now scramble the fish into small small pieces. Take a kadai and heat the pieces for some time to make it dry.

Now take a pan to make the dish. Add required oil and put Aniseed(sombu). After that put the chopped onions and fry till you get golden brown. while frying add chopped chilly and ginger garlic paste.


 My mom preparing rasam in next pan, dont look at it :)


After that, add goriander leaves and then add salt, turmeric and chilly powder.

Fry a little and then add fish to it..

Fry well so that it will not stick in pan. Add chopped coconut and pepper powder. 



Thats all, delicious Fish puttu is ready to eat.
